Cooking Class Attendees

Cooking Class Attendees

Owner Justin Gagnon, Grace Gagnon, Cooking ClassLast weekend, we had 8 young chefs in our Danville kitchen, decorating Holiday cookies and cupcakes. The kids had a blast, and watching them smear frosting and pour sprinkles onto their baked goods, was hysterical. Often, parents simply drop their kids off when we have cooking classes, but this group of parents wanted to watch and enjoy the show. It was like a taping of Food-TV enhanced with the smells of liquid chocolate and candy.

What was particularly fun, from a Choicelunch employee standpoint, though, was who else joined the class.
We had our decorating expert, Chef Kelsey, leading the class and another employee scheduled to be in the kitchen as an elf/helper. As the class started up, though, more and more Choicelunch employees kept coming in, eager to spend their Saturday mornings doing what we all love: engaging kids with food. Our CEO, Justin, and his 2.5 year old daughter, Grace, even arrived, eager to try their hand at decorating.

What is so cool to me as an employee, is that all of us at Choicelunch feel that this isn’t a job. Our work is our passion. Feeding kids is what get’s us out of bed each morning. It is our hobby, our lives and our love. At the end of a week, we are back in the kitchen, having fun.
