You know you are dealing with an Olympian of website design, when you get a text at 3 am from one of your programmers (a guy who studied computer science at Stanford and has a degree in artificial intelligence): “You think Choicelunch parents want to see their kids listed alphabetically or by age?” The new Choicelunch website was developed by a team of 3, led by our CTO/Owner, Ryan. Ryan and his cohorts (including a third genius- a Physics Ph.D.) worked for months and months to make ordering lunches as intuitive, clever and eye-catching as possible. Yes, it took degrees in artificial intelligence and rocket science to make sure ordering your lunches was a rockin’ experience.

The easy ordering process is totally unlike anything we’ve ever tried to do; more like Netflix or Pandora in suggesting lunches we think you’d like based on your past 3 months of ordering history. The ‘menu’ is actually a calendar full of pictures, and you can see all of your Choicelunch students at the same time! The full visual experience is more like the iPhone app, and similarly, you can filter what you see based on each student’s allergens. Got gluten sensitivity? No sandwiches will tempt your tikes. With minimal clicks (no hunting and pecking) you can swipe your selections, load your cart and checkout, quicker than a cat can blink its eye. You can pick your kids’ favorites, or hide things from the menu, and customize your account preferences for things like large lunches (got a hungry teen?).
