Our Story
What began in a family kitchen has grown into a trusted school lunch delivery service for families across California. For over 20 years, Choicelunch has combined real food, smart technology, and feedback from our community to make school lunch simple for schools, stress-free for parents, and healthy and delicious for kids.

1974
Where It All Began
In 1974, Mary and Larry Gagnon turned their love of food into a catering business. After years of feeding their five kids and families in their community, they started serving local schools in 1992 with their “Children’s Choice” school lunch program.

2003
Choicelunch Is Born
In 2003, the Gagnons’ son, Justin, teams up with college friends Keith Cosbey and Ryan Mariotti to take school lunch online. Together, they founded Choicelunch to make ordering simple for schools, stress-free for parents and healthy and delicious for kids.

- Made with whole, fresh ingredients
- Recipes crafted by chefs and loved by kids
- A variety of up to 20 hot and cold entrées and 60+ sides (drinks, snacks, fruits/veggies) offered daily.
