If you Google “last minute” you’ll find a trillion results for last minute cruises, travel deals and stays of execution. Now along with those happy results, Choicelunch offers last minute lunches. Today was the first day you parents were able to place orders up to 6 am THIS MORNING for lunch today. It was also the first day of school for many of you. We announced last minute orders for the first time in May, and got a lot of really excited responses, but we really had no idea how much you wanted this.
Our order deadline since 2003 has been 9 am the SCHOOL DAY before, so Friday at 9 am for Monday’s lunch. We knew something big was happening when after that standard deadline last Friday morning, between 10 and 11 am, we saw 30 last minute orders placed… in one hour!
By this morning at 9 am, that number had climbed to over 800 last minute orders!
It is a $1.00 extra for a last minute lunches, as our kitchen busts into hyper gear to get everything ready in time for our deliveries (we had almost 100 kitchen employees on their toes at 5 am this morning!) but you keep telling us, “IT’S WORTH IT!” Save yourself the additional expense and headache, though and order early, or use our new Easy Order system to help solve lunch. But it is nice to know we are here when you need us, helping feed kids school lunch responsibly, deliciously, and EASILY!
