Ordering

After you enter your registration code, you are almost done! There are just a few no-brainer questions, such as home address, student’s name, student's birth date and grade. Done! Simply click on the "Order Lunches," and choose the day you’d like to order! See that day's menu and ask yourself, "what looks good?" You pre-order the entrée and your child gets to pick their own snack, fruit, vegetable and drink at lunch.

Your child doesn’t need to remember what was ordered, and they certainly don’t need any money, or easy-to-loose card. At lunchtime, your child goes to the lunch counter and gives their name to the adult (it helps if they can be loud, those lunch rooms are noisy!) The adult will have a list with the student's name and the ordered entree selection for that day. Each morning we send this list to the school, by email and on our trucks, with the lunches. Once your child receives the entree, your child gets to pick their own fresh cut fruit, vegetable (all in compostable packaging), snack and drink. There are always lots of choices of everything.

A large entree is usually 150-200 calories more than a regular sized-entree (usually 350-400 calories). Every dish is a little different, for example a large could be a combination of more burrito filling and more rice, or more chicken tenders. For pizza, a regular is 1 slice and a large is 2. Our R.D. oversees all nutritional components to ensure that our meals are nutrient-dense and balanced.

Choose the View My Lunches link after you log in. Once you are here, you can print out a copy for your refrigerator (or other handy location) by clicking on the printer icon in the top right corner of the page.

You can review any past order that you have place on the View Orders page. If you have more than one Choicelunch account, you need to log into the account which you used to place the order to view it.

How to Pay

You can pay online using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express), or by check.

If you are using a credit card, you can submit the order by 9am the school day before the lunch is to be served. For example, Thursday's lunch can be ordered by Wednesday at 9am. Keep in mind that a Monday’s lunch must be ordered the Friday before at 9am.

If you opt to pay by check, then you should submit the order the week before lunch is to be served by 9 am. For example, if you are visiting www.choicelunch.com on Monday at 8 am, you can order for the following Monday.

Next time you complete payment of your order using a credit card, simply check the box which reads, "Save this credit card for future purchases" before submitting your order. If you choose this option, we will securely save your card details so that you may complete your payment more conveniently next time!

Cancel or Change

You can cancel your child's lunch up to 9 am on the day the lunch is to be served. Please note any field trips, doctor's appointments, or vacation dates prior to ordering.

If you cancel the lunch by 5pm the school day before, you receive full credit on your Choicelunch account for future use. If you cancel after 5pm the school day before, but before 9 am the day lunch is served, you receive half credit on your account for future use.

Log on to www.Choicelunch.com. Once logged in, click on "Change or Cancel Lunches" to cancel your lunch for credit or switch your choice to another day. You can change your selection by 9 am the school day before your chosen lunch.

You have until 9 am the morning-of lunch to cancel.

A sibling can go to the lunch counter and ask to pick up their brother's or sister's lunch. Be aware that only siblings or parents can take an absent child's lunch.

For school events scheduled on short notice, such as field trips or class outings, it really needs to be your responsibility to cancel previously ordered lunches. There is no way for us to know if your child is actually going on that trip to the zoo, or if other plans were made for your family. Only credits will be issued for all cancellations (no payment refunds). Credits may be redeemed online for your next order.

My Account

You can update all account details in the My Account section.

You can change your password at any time on the Change Password page, found in the My Account menu section under "Change Password".

If you need to add a new student to your account, visit the My Students page, found in the My Account section using the top menu bar, then choose "Manage Students".

If your student has switched to another Choicelunch school, all you have to do is add a new school to your current account. You can add a new school to your account here.

If your students have left a Choicelunch school and you would like to close your account, please e-mail Choicelunch at customerservice@choicelunch.com.

Easy Order

Easy Order is best for veteran families who know our food, and love the convenience and routine of every week ordering. Easy Order allows you to create a permanent profile for each child. You rank each child’s entrée preferences, and select the regular days each week you want us to order for you.


Our computer does the ordering, automatically! You don’t need to come back to www.ChoiceLunch.com each month to place an order, you simply select your day and rank your favorite dishes. Between the 10th and 15th day of each month, you will get an email showing next month's pre-selected menu. You can change your profile at any time, and you can alter, or cancel your order, just like always!

No! Easy Order is intended for families which have been with us for a while. The regular ordering method of selecting one of the 17 entrees offered each school day is the best way to order to give you maximum control.

After you login on your home page, select the Easy Order page. With each student, you can ‘Modify,’ or ‘Stop Easy Order,’ quickly with one button!

Emergency Lunches

We are prepared when your child does not have a pre-ordered lunch. We send a small number of extra hot entrees to your school to be used in the event a child does not have a lunch and would otherwise go hungry.

All children can ask for a hot lunch, unless you specify otherwise. (see Do Not Provide My Students with Emergency Lunches in the next FAQ question).

You have three options, and you can always change your emergency lunch preference under My Account.

  1. You can select to auto-charge your emergency lunch.
  2. If you choose to "Bill Me" for emergency lunches, you will receive an email that your child did not have a lunch and that you are being billed for the cost of a lunch, plus an administrative fee of $1.45. You can then login to www.ChoiceLunch.com to pay by credit card or check, as you would any other order.
  3. Finally, you can choose to never allow your child to receive an emergency lunch. You are choosing to notify all lunch volunteers not to distribute an emergency lunch to your child under any circumstance. Your child will not be given a lunch and you will not owe for payment for an emergency lunch. This applies to all children on your account.
