It is most likely a biological drive deep in our DNA that pushes humans to improve. If we didn’t always try to go faster, farther and be better than the status quo, we probably wouldn’t be reading about space exploration on the internet or helping our kids master quantum physics by the fifth grade. And so it is with ordering school lunch.... But if we weren’t motivated to improve, there would be no innovation, no evolution. Enter LAST MINUTE ORDERING! We have a fabulous group of 10 (yes, 10!) School Specialists who spend their days going from school to school, making sure our lunches are as enjoyable as possible and that all is right in the Choicelunch world. Most of our School Specialists were first Moms who ordered our lunches for their kids. We made their lives easier, saved them time, and they joined us to spend that time spreading the word. Odd how the world works, huh?

Two weeks ago, my husband and I celebrated 10 years of wedded bliss. When we first moved in together, however, there were a few critical issues to hash out: finances, proper dishwashing techniques, and where to store tomatoes. Having gone to school in England, where refrigerators are the size of laundry baskets, I learned that not everything I was raised to chill actually benefits from being thrown in the fridge. Tomatoes are a good example. In the fridge, tomatoes turn to flavorless mush. (I store them with the stem-side down on the counter and eat quickly.)

There is a sign on our front door that reminds us in the office to bring home our lunches. Yes, all of us ‘support staff’ order Choicelunch online just like you do, not only for our midday breaks, but also to take home to our families. Many of us have young kiddos, not yet enrolled in school, and hungry spouses anxious for us to bring home the bacon (or salads and sushi, as is more often the case—no bacon yet on the Choicelunch menu). What does this mean to you?
