Meet the Choicelunch Trio

Justin Gagnon, Ryan Mariotti, Keith Cosbey

When three guys first met in college, none of them expected to eventually work together to change the way kids eat school lunch. More than a decade after first meeting, though, that is exactly how Keith Cosbey, Justin Gagnon and Ryan Mariotti spend their days.

Justin, Keith and Ryan have built a culinary dream team of passionate, professionals who thrive in an environment that honors seasonal, fresh food. They know that making the lives of parents easier has to be a hallmark of the lunch program. Food matters and it matters most for our kids. They get up every morning to meet the high expectations of parents, schools, and most importantly, Choicelunch kids.

Mom and Pop: Our Roots

For almost twenty years, Larry and Mary Gagnon have been the backbone of our lunch program. Raising five kids and running a small catering business wasn’t enough for the Gagnon couple when they took on serving lunch to a few local private schools. Serving three items a day, including Mary’s own Shepherd’s pie (still a Choicelunch menu favorite,) the couple took over Children’s Choice back in the early 1990s. Mary and Larry knew from feeding their own kids, kids should have a say in what goes into their mouths. It’s up to parents to offer healthy, wholesome choices from which to choose. With that philosophy guiding us from the very beginning, Choicelunch has grown from serving a few local schools to a family-owned company, whose significance is helping to change the way kids eat throughout all of California. With each new Choicelunch school, with each new Choicelunch kid, Larry and Mary’s family grows.
